What is the TOEIC? • Test of English for International Communication • Test of everyday English: workplace, business, leisure, travel, health… • Listening and Reading Comprehension • Multiple choice • Recently updated in June 2018 • Practice books published no later than 2017 • 200 questions, 2 sections (Reading + Listening: 100 ?s/section) • 2 hour test

  3. Scores • Combined score: a scale from 10 to 990 points • Raw Score  scaled score  combined score • Ex: (L) 75 400; (R) 50  205 = 705 • 600: minimum “good” score • 750: good target • 900: “international” proficiency

  12. Prohibited Items You are not allowed to keep your personal belongings with you while taking the test. Personal belongings may be left in your car or a locker if one is provided at the test center.
