  3. Facts about the Blackbird The blackbird is the fastest plane It has an unusual shape and coating Has tiny irony balls in its coating so it cant be seen on radar First flew in the 1960`s Is a good military jet

  4. This is the blackbird`s paint and shape.

  5. First powered flight Invented on Dec. 17, 1903 Invented by Orville and Wilbur Wright Only flew 4 times The last flight was 12 seconds Only 5 people was on the last flight

  6. The flyer is a biplane.

  7. Planes getting bigger • Planes were carrying 99 passengers in 1950 • Planes were at cruising speeds of 327 MPH • Each jet engine has more than 200 times the power of the flyer • The flyer has about 12 horse power • It flies about 30 MPH
