  2. Privacy Settings Click on the down arrow next to home to open up your privacy settings.

  3. Privacy Settings The Public Setting allows everyone on Facebook to view access, and you’re your information. We will begin by utilizing friends as a default. The Friends setting allows only the people you’ve added as friends to view your information..

  6. Apps, Games & Website Settings This is where you can control what information is shared by apps, games and websites.

  7. App Settings Not all App settings can be changed. If you’re uncomfortable with the information and permission that the app requires, I recommend removing the Application.

  8. Understanding Privacy and the Use of Apps & Games While most Apps and Games are free, you pay for them by sharing your information. To sign up for an App or Game, you must give it permission to do certain things. This can include accessing your profile data, posting on your Wall, and viewing information about your Friends.

  11. Controlling Privacy on your Profile The visibility selector indicates that my birthdate can only be seen by me, therefore it is not visible by the public. To see what your profile looks like to other people click on “View MY Profile”

  12. Controlling Privacy on your Profile On the top toolbar, click your name to access your Profile. Click Edit Profile. Click on View As Next you can fill in a name in Enter a friend’s name or click on the Blue Public link to see what your profile looks like to them.
