2. The style dates back to the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It exists in it’s pure form even today and is also being redefined to suit contemporary trends and choices.  

3. It is defined by geography more than having an influence from any specific period and has a native taste and traditions. The influence can come from Islamic Architecture, Art Deco Movement or Chinese art and aesthetics etc.  

4. This style came into existence in the 20th-Century after the Art Deco Movement and it gave a new vision of design. Modern Mid-Century, Modern Scandinavian and Modern Contemporary are some of the sub-categories of the style.  

5. As the name suggests, it is influenced by the current tastes, preferences and movements of time. It has no connection to any period, region, or group. However, it can be influenced by something from time to time.  
