  2. When you arrive:

  3. Be in uniform(Uniform shirt, sweater, pants… no scarves, yoga pants, track pants, hats, rolled shorts)You are going to a school that has a uniform.

  4. Absolutely NO out of uniform items allowed in the class! • In your locker or completely invisible in your bag.

  5. Be on time • (Lates will be tracked and you will have a detention.)

  6. Use appropriate voice and actions • (You cannot swear in here. If swearing is part of your regular language… too bad.)

  7. Be respectful of others by: • Listening when they speak in class. Everyone’s ideas are important. Aren’t yours? • Speaking about appropriate things and using appropriate language

  8. Do not touch others’ art work. Things break. And take hours to make. Look, but don’t touch. • Keeping hands off of others and their possessions. Don’t touch things that do not belong to you.)

  9. And I mean Hands off others. • Sit in your own chair.

  10. Be respectful of the environment by: • Cleaning up your workspace after you done. This is only our space for 76 minutes.

  11. Do you want to come and find your spot looking like this? Someone sits in your spot after you.

  12. Be respectful of the teacher by: • Addressing me appropriately. (Hint: Ms. Schindler is good.) • Listening to me . • Following direction that I give you.

  13. Even more School rules: • Cell phones/Electronic Devices: • Turn off your device when asked. No gaming allowed. This time is needed to finish your crafts. (Note: Teachers can see your devices on your lap, in your desk, under your sweater, behind your big purse..)

  14. Food: Generally speaking, there is no food allowed in the room. (The work surfaces here are pretty germy.) If you are starving… a quick healthy snack—granola bars or veggies or fruit. Throw out garbage. Water bottles are fine. No juice/pop, chips, chocolate, pizza, etc.

  15. Grooming: Personal grooming is private. Do it in private not in the classroom. Keep beauty secrets… secret. (The following slides include examples of some of things that went on in my class..)

  16. Avoid the hair spray cloud…

  17. The use of Over Axing (or other body sprays, perfumes, etc.)

  18. Please do not participate in the In Class Makeover

  19. This is not the class for hairstyling. Please do not style your hair.

  20. Or style or braid your friend’s hair

  21. We want you to smell good… but avoid the in class Deodorant Application

  22. Please floss at home (or at least not in our classroom)

  23. Please do not use nail polish in the classroom

  24. Also, please do not cut or file your nails in the classroom.

  25. Anything involving the nose, should involve a kleenex.

  26. Also, please leave shoes and socks on. Do not inspect anything unusual on your feet during class.

  27. Thank you for your help in following the rules. Please respect the class.
