  2. Mission The Capital District Child Care Council is a resource and referral agency dedicated to promoting quality, accessible child care for all of the Capital Region’s diverse communities. The Council assumes a leadership role in supporting children, parents, child care professionals, and employers through referral counseling, education, training, and advocacy. Vision The Capital District Child Care Council is a resource and referral agency dedicated to promoting quality, accessible child care for all of the Capital Region’s diverse communities.   5. Fulton Saratoga Montgomery Schenectady Rensselaer Albany Where We Work Clinton Child Care Resource and Referral Services The Council provides Child Care Resource and Referral services to the following 6 counties Hamilton

  6. Early experiences determine whether a child’s developing brain architecture provides a strong or weak foundation for all future learning, behavior, and health.

  7. Good nutrition is the cornerstone for healthy child development.

  8. Highly trained and qualified early childhood practitioners create long term economic and social benefits.

  9. High-quality early education programs enhance child cognitive and social development.

  10. Parents need reliable, affordable child care when they work, and also a safe place where their children can learn new skills.

  11. Child Care Health consultation is effective in promoting specific health practices in early childhood programs including, safe food handling, infection control, infant sleep position, and safe and active play.

  12. Research documents that those states with more effective regulatory structures have a greater supply of higher quality programs.

  13. Eating well can make a positive difference in a student’s ability to achieve their full academic and physical potential.
