  1. Ransomware is Real. Is Your Data Safe? WE’VE BEEN HIT. And with the looming threats of ransomware, are you confident your critical business files are safe? Autotask Endpoint Backup can help you recover from ransomware attacks and other data loss scenarios. AEB is an enterprise-grade cloud-based, file & folder backup service that can be deployed, configured and managed centrally. It automates backup of mission-critical data and reduces the risk of lost or stolen data. It provides fast and easy data restoration, six months of versioning, data accessibility, and protection against lost or mistreated data. AEB consists of two components to help make your backup process easy and efficient: 1. Endpoint Backup Online allows users to access their backup data via the system tray icon, or via an Access Link sent by an Administrator or their MSP/ITSP, or via Single Sign-On (SSO) if that has been configured. Admins and MSPs can centrally manage and monitor the service, and securely assist clients as required. What are my next steps? In the event a computer is infected with ransomware, we recommend you immediately disconnect the affected computer(s) from your network and contact your Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT Service provider (ITSP) for assistance. If you are not working with an MSP or ITSP, then you may want to attempt to remove the malware from the affected computer(s). The safest remediation may be to re-format the affected computer to ensure all the remnants of ransomware have been removed. If you are an Autotask Endpoint Backup (AEB) user and your files and folders were affected by ransomware, AEB’s data-retention and versioning control may allow you to restore your files and folders to a previous time before they became infected. 2. The Endpoint Backup Desktop application automatically recognizes new files that need backup, changes to existing files and can take care of backing up the file in its entirety. Reduce the impact of your business being hit with a ransomware attack today. Managing data is one of the most important and complex IT challenges for organizations of all sizes around the world. Businesses are creating and saving data in immensely large quantities and all signs indicate data will continue to grow at a rapid pace. This data represents businesses most valued assets, so it must be backed up in real-time, protected and easily accessible. AEB can help you quickly and efficiently support your endpoint backup needs.
