  2. Process SIGMA The Advisor is the key person to the success of the Collegiate Chapter. Process SIGMA allows the Advisor to effectively • plan • monitor, • benchmark and • gauge all recognized chapter activities in all areas of FBS affairs.

  3. Process SIGMA “S” - Strategic Planning • SWOT analysis with the chapter • Strengths • Weaknesses • Opportunities • Threats Should be held during the first of school • Semi-annual chapter planning meeting • Benchmarks • MIP • Financial analysis

  4. Process SIGMA • Chapter Retreats • Should be away • Should be aware • Should be awesome! • Chapter Assessment • Is standardized • Should be inclusive • Should be documentable

  5. Process SIGMA “I” – Investment Analysis It is a fundamental review of their business plan. Focuses on: • What they are spending • Why they are spending • Where they are spending • Who is actually spending

  6. Process SIGMA “I” requires that the Advisor obtain answers to: • How does the Fraternity benefit? • How does the chapter benefit? • How does the individual benefit?

  7. Process SIGMA “G” – Goal Gauging The Advisor should assist the chapter in reviewing: • National mandates • Regional mandates • Local mandates • Individual mandates

  8. Process SIGMA “M” – Membership Development The Advisor should assist the chapter in reviewing recruitment, retention and reactivation plans. The chapter should recognize the marketing aspect of membership development. It includes SOS (Sigma-Oriented Sales)

  9. Process SIGMA SOS focuses on plans involving the chapter’s view on: • The general community • All programs • All promotions • Affiliate organizations • Productivity • participation • Affiliates • Positioning • Praise

  10. Process SIGMA “A” – Accolades for Achievement This focuses on the “membership should have privileges” aspect of chapter involvement. • Academic scholarships • External to the Fraternity • Internal to Sigma • Internships • Employment • Alumni Chapter recognition • Who is their Sigma of the Year? • Who is the Brother recognized by the Alumni Chapter?
