OBJETIVOS Al finalizar el desarrollo del tema el estudiante será capaz de: • Realizar con destreza el examen clínico de la cavidad bucal y estructuras adyacentes, para reconocer si el sistema estomatognático se encuentra en estado de normalidad o si existen anormalidades, variantes anatómicas o patologías presentes en este sistema. • Registrar los hallazgos anormales o patológicos en la ficha clínica en el lugar y orden correspondiente. • Identificar y evaluar los diferentes tipos de oclusión estática y así como describir las alteraciones y registrarlas en la ficha clínica.

  3. GENERALIDADES • Para la Facultad de Odontología de la USAC • Durante y Después de la fase I del proceso de Diagnóstico

  4. OBJETIVO del EXAMEN CLÍNICO • EVALUAR las estructuras que constituyen el sistema estomatognático así como las regiones del cuerpoadyacentes y lejanas que sean accesibles. Por medio de un procedimiento fácil, ordenado y efectivopara determinar si se encuentran en estado de normalidad, anormalidad o patológico.

  6. ASPECTOS A EVALUAR • Cara, cuello, tejidos blandos, tejidos duros y ATM • Oclusión • Radiológicos • Piezas dentarias, estructuras periodontales y tratamientos dentales efectuados en el paciente
