  2. Context Microsoft Windows has been in the market since 2015. And every year, Microsoft updates its features and functionalities by releasing the software updates for the Windows. And since the release of Windows 10, it has seen several improvements in performance updates. Generally, Microsoft refreshes the system every six months. And continuing the same tradition, they are expected to launch the next update of Windows 10 in 2020 too. In spring 2020, they are expected to launch the newer version called 20H1. The update is expected to launch officially around in May 2020. And for the users registered with the Windows Insider program, it is already available. In this presentation, we will discuss the leading functionalities available as per it's lastBuild 19041.153 released on March 13, 2020. Let's discuss leading new functionalities one by one. 1

  3. The new experience of Cortana The personal assistant of Microsoft is now available with the brand new chat- based UI. After the release of this update, you would not be needing to talk with Cortana every time, you can leverage chat-based functionality too. Your interaction with the Cortana will be saved as the chat. And the chat-based Cortana tab can be moved around the desktop by dragging the title bar too. 2

Download & install the latest version of Windows while re-setting When we reset the computer, If you want to re-install the newer version of Windows, you must update the Windows before re-setting, or by creating the new Windows installation media. But with this new functionality, you can download the newer version using the cloud-download after re-setting. 3

  5. Better network status information You will be easily able to understand How is the network interface in your computer. The network status page (Settings > Network & Internet > Status) has been completely redesigned. If you are using Wi-Fi and ethernet together, both of them will be shown here. And the page will also display your data usage from both the configuration. 4

  6. Rename virtual desktop When we press Windows+Tab button together on the keyboard, the task view tab opens. And you will see the different desktops named desktop1, desktop2, and so on. But with this update, you can rename all the desktops. And Windows is also allowing to use emojis to rename your desktops too. 5

  7. Eye control The feature is only limited to eye control feature enabled devices only. This feature lets you perform several functionalities just by moving your eyes. You can now perform the mouse drag & drop functionality moving your eyes. 6

  8. Kaomoji You can access the emojis and Kaomoji using Windows+. (period) or Windows+; (semicolon). in almost every app and place. And with this new update of 20H1, they have added several new Kaomoji in the list. 7

  9. Paint & Wordpad are optional now Till the years of inception of Windows, the Paint & Wordpad has been coming as bundled programs. But with this update, both of these programs can be uninstalled too. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Optional features, and there you will see both of these programs are in the list and can be uninstalled too. 8
