Take notes and do vocabulary. Answer the two discussion questions on the website.

  2. Reading Quiz- Use your notes. 1. Which voting age demographic has the LOWEST turnout? 2.What are the two fundamental questions about government? 3. What are three things that all governments must do? 4. What is an example of a public policy? 5. What are the first three steps in the policymaking system?

  3. Government Report Card Create a report card for the government based on the requirements outlined in your reading. For each, give the US Federal Government a score of A,B,C,D,F. You must give a detailed explanation of WHY you are giving them this score. Categories: Maintain a national defense, Provide public services, Preserve order, socialize the young, Collect taxes

  4. Policymaking System • Create a visual representation of the policymaking system. You must label each step, include a description and a picture.
