  5. NO BULLY ZONE : • This is a NO bully Zone. • I do not tolerate any bullying in my classroom. • We spend more time together than with some of our family members. • WE ARE A FAMILY. • If anyone else is getting bullied and you do not speak up. YOU are just as guilty if you are witnessing bullying and are not speaking up. • Don’t judge someone if you don’t know them, say hi! You never know they could be your best friend this year!

  6. Behavior Scale: • 4= Exceeds Expectations • * I am a role model * My effort goes above and beyond *My work is completed on time • 3= Meets Expectations • * I follow the rules * I give my best effort * My work is completed on time • 2= Approaches Expectations • * I follow the rules sometimes *I give my best effort occasionally * some work is done on time • 1= Falls Below Expectations • * I need to work on following directions * I am not giving my best effort * Most of my work is incomplete

  7. How the Behavior Scale Works: • Location: On your desk (color coded) • If you move up and down the scale you will see that there are notes that will tell you how you are doing. • If you move down levels you will be expected to take cool down minutes for the time that it says and go to the cool down spot. • I may model, vocalize, or circle for you to move up and down the scale.

  8. How the Behavior Scale affects your points: • At the end of each day YOU will have to rate yourself in your agenda of how you did on the scale. • I will also rate you in your agenda and your parent/ guardian will sign each night. • The points given by the teacher will be awarded to you before you go home through class dojo.

  9. Behavioral Routines and Procedures : • Arrival time is: • When you come into the building, you need to use the restroom. This includes if you come to school late. ALWAYS use the restroom before coming out to our classroom.

  10. Restroom Use: • Use the restroom quickly and quietly. • Most of the time there is someone else who is waiting to use the restroom. • If you ever need to use the restroom during class, you must have a person go with you. You will sign YOUR name, time, and stall number that you used. • If we go as a class, we do not have to do this.

  11. Coming into the classroom: • Handshakes! • You are at ZERO • Unpack your bags and lunch boxes if you have any. • Turn in extra practice if we had any. • Place agendas on desk and fill out your agenda for the day. Get all supplies out listed. • Look at the morning power point to see related arts, upcoming dates, and morning work for the day. * You can always write upcoming dates in your agenda. Put your agenda away when finished I will NOT sign it unless everything is filled out and you will not get points for that day.

  12. Noise Levels: • We will have noise level lights for certain activities. • First thing in the morning and very end of the day are level ZERO times. This will help us relax in the morning and cool down in the afternoon. • The noise level lights we will use for a few weeks once we have adjusted to them, I might just say we are at level ONE. If we can not follow level one the level ZERO light will come on to show you that the class is too loud.

  13. Teacher signals: • There are sign language symbols that we will use through out the year. • This will help you when I am teaching so that it does not interrupt the lesson or others around you. • Two bells on the doorbell means 5 minutes off Recess as a class.

  14. Lunchroom Behavior : • In third grade we have the Golden Spoon. • One class each day will be chosen who has had the best cafeteria behavior. • At the end of the week the class who has the most votes will receive the golden spoon. • You can not get up in the cafeteria you must raise your hands and one of the cafeteria staff will assist you. • Please try your best to go to the restroom before you go to the cafeteria. • Your lunch time is limited try your best to eat and talk at the same time. • We only get one snack break during the day.

  15. Playground Behavior: • On the playground we do not play tag. • We do not play in the dirt or with sticks and rocks. • Three is the magic number on the tire swing. • When entering the playground we stop at the end of the ramp, when I direct you to go you must walk till you get past the orange pole. • Remember: Make GOOD Decisions

  16. Hallway Behavior: • In the hallway we are expected to be at ZERO. • Where we use the restroom gets very packed, always be on the side closest to the walls so that people can get through. • WE are not in the building as often as other classes since we are in the portable. • Show them that our class is AMAZING!

  17. Classroom supplies : • Extra supplies are located: • Weekly person to handle supplies. • Homeroom/ Block 1: Your materials are on the left in pink. Block 2: Your materials are located on the right in green. • Do not put personal items inside of the desk keep them in your cubby.

  18. Pencil System: • In your baskets in the center of your table groups you will find: • The pencils are labeled with your table group number. • I will occasionally do pencil checks and if you have your pencil you will receive table points for you table group. • Only the person with the pencil sharpening job will be allowed to use the sharpener in the morning.

  19. Classroom Jobs : • Every week classroom jobs will change. • WE ARE A TEAM! • We must work together to help the function and cleanliness of our room.

  20. Technology Use : • Keep the area nice and clean. • Put up the headphones when you are finished. • Always hit CTRL, ALT, and DELETE to log off. • Leave the computer on the charger when finished many people will use the same computer after you.

  21. Library Use : • Keep the area nice and tidy. • When finished place them into the finished bin. • The person with classroom library job will put the book away where it belongs. • Always read quietly
