THINGS TO REMEMBER… • Each account is a direct representation of not only your volleyball program, but your school. • When in doubt…don’t send it out.
Things to remember… Humanize it! Don’t create a twitter robot!
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MIND SET… • Don’t just pawn social media off to anyone. • Being in charge of social media accounts is a mind set, constantly ask yourself, “is this something our followers would be interested in?
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MIND SET… • Ignore the non-believers! Just shake their hand and introduce them to 2012.
ACTUALLY POST! • No posts = no followers. • Followers will not magically come.
What to post… • FACEBOOK – It’s all about the photos...
What to post… • TWITTER – It’s all about information…
WHAT TO POST… • 24/7/365…sorry.
What to post… • People love giveaways…SO GIVE STUFF AWAY!
WHAT TO POST… “Behind the scenes” looks.
Best Case Scenario… • Make $$$$$$$$$$$$ via sponsorships. • But be careful, you can’t make it look to obvious you’re trying to sell something.
