  1. Is Stress a Possible Reason Behind Female Hair Loss? What might seem like a common myth behind the rising hair loss in people is partially true in reality. We say partially here because the hair loss caused by stress is not permanent, but it can take various forms. Some of them include telogen effluvium, trichotillomania, and alopecia areata. There are, however, many other ways that cause hair loss in women. Most of them revolve around excessive styling, exposure to the sun, and even eating habits. Through this blog, let’s go beyond what we previously know, and dive into what is known to be a world of female hair loss. Trichotillomania Known to be a disorder that makes anyone feel an overpowering urge to pull hair out from the scalp, Trichotillomania can also affect the eyebrows and other parts of the body. This disease might be a sign of dealing with negative and uncomfortable emotions. Some of the most typical traits of a person suffering from the symptom are stress, boredom, tension, frustration, and even loneliness. Alopecia Areata As an autoimmune disorder where the immune system directly attacks the hair follicles, Alopecia Areata can be triggered by illness or stress. If someone has this condition, she might face round and smooth patches of baldness on the scalp or eyebrows. Other forms include Alopecia Totalis (complete hair loss) and Alopecia Universalis (hair loss all over the body). Telogen Effluvium This condition hits a patient a few weeks after pregnancy, any significant surgery, an abrupt but radical weight loss, or stress. It is temporary and named after the ultimate stage of the hair growth cycle – Telogen.

  2. The restraining thread in all the three reasons mentioned herein is stress, and we can safely say that it is one of the fundamental factors that contribute to hair loss. Why is it so? Well. When a person is under a lot of stress, it raises the androgen levels that trigger hair loss. Stress also acts as a principal factor in resulting in dandruff and disrupted sleeping habits. How can scalp micropigmentation help these conditions? When it comes to hair loss, people run for the most reliable option available, a transplant surgery. But what they fail to understand is, several reasons contribute to making them an eligible option for the same. In cases where a permanent solution is required, but surgery isn’t an option, scalp micropigmentation comes as a boon.

  3. As an innovative way of treating hair loss, scalp micropigmentation (SMP) uses a machine that tattoos pigments in diverse hues of black on the scalp to replicate the illusion of fuller hair. This machine has micro- fine needles that are capable of creating tiny impressions to make the illusion look natural. For the bald people, this is an excellent way of getting a natural-looking buzz cut look. As for the others suffering from hair loss, this is a fabulous alternative till the time natural hair grows back. Through SMP, one can also camouflage FUT scars, post-surgery. Who are the ABHRS certified doctors treating patients for these conditions? Given the fact that SMP, as a procedure, depends exclusively on the expertise of the doctors performing it, one should always opt for certified experts. Two of the top doctors performing this in India are Dr Preeti Saraswat and Dr Satya Saraswat. Accredited by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, both of them have years of experience in the field. Conclusion: Stress is a crucial cause of female hair loss, and the best way to avoid that is controlling the anxiety levels.
