  6. The Gifts are the Tools of Our Calling… Tools denote manifestational giftings most used. Uniform denotes basic Motivational /ministerial gifting

  7. What the Gifts are. *They are the tools of our calling. *They are given AS HE WILLS *They are in 3 categories……

Knowing our calling helps… Read Acts 26:15-18; Ephesians 3:7-8 and also Romans 1:1-6 and think about/discuss what Paul's calling was and what giftings the Lord endowed him with to be the correct tools for this calling. His calling is … Church Planting among Gentiles. His giftings are ….. Apostleship, Teaching, Miracles etc… Group Or Individual Activity: Look at the following scenarios and think about/discuss the gifts needed for each call….. (a) Someone who has a call of God to the mission field from a developed to an under-developed country. Their call is primarily church-planting in unreached areas. (b) Someone who feels called to train students for the ministry in Bible School. (c) Someone who feels called to set up and lead a prayer house for the nations. (d) Someone who feels called into hospital ministry (praying for / ministering to the patients. Motivational Gifting = Apostleship Main Manifestational Giftings = Faith,Healings, Miracles Motivational Gifting = Teaching Main Manifestational Giftings = Words of Knowledge/Wisdom Motivational Gifting = Intercession Main Manifestational Gifting = Prophecy, Faith Motivational Gifting = Gift of Healings Main Manifestational Gifts = Faith, Healings

  9. 10 Steps to Identifying and Moving in Gifts (Part one) 10 Steps to Identifying and Moving In Your Gifts. (Assuming you are baptized in Spirit For Man.Gifts) 1. Pray and seek earnestly for God to give His gifts to you. See Matthew 7:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:31. 2. Spend time studying God`s Word about Spiritual Gifts. Romans 12;1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4; 1 Peter 4 - study Bible characters who show certain gifts. See also 2 Tim 3:15-16. 3. Monitor the Creative Restlessness that is stirring Within. 2 Timothy 1:6. What is your `dream ministry` ? 4. Expose yourself to Various Ministries (be open & flexible)

God Uses Other People (Listen to others observations) Ephesians 4:25 8. Special Needs and Opportunities Evoke Spiritual Gifts. John 4:35. 9. The Joy Test (Exercising gift will bring us joy). Rom 12:8; 2 Corinthians 9:7; 1 Peter 4:9 10. The Perseverance Test . A sense of giftedness inspires one to go the ‘long haul’ (2 Thessalonians 3:13).

  11. Principles of Operating in the Gifts…. See 1 Peter 4:10-11- The wording in the Greek is that of choreographing a dance! That is a good picture of how the Holy ministers the gifts through us. • Given by GRACE (1 Peter 4:10-11) • Operate through FAITH. • Motivational/Ministerial gifts imparted by laying on of hands (Romans 1:11; 2 Timothy 1:6; 1 Timothy 4:14) – one person only has a select few. • Manifestational gifts available to all (1 Cor 12:7) – the best gifts at any time is the one most needed. • Must all operate in LOVE (1 Cor 13:1-2) • Manifestational gifts flow with ANOINTING – must wait for the ANOINTING (1 John 2:27)

Self Deception. (See 1 Corinthians 14:37-38; Romans 12:3) 4. Immaturity. (See 1 Corinthians 3:1,11; 14:20)

Comparing and Competing. (See 1 Corinthians 12:14-26) 9. Freelancing 10. Gifts without Love. (1 Corinthians 8:1; 1 Corinthians 12:31b-13:7)
