  3. Keep your hands clean • The rule of the thumb is to keep your nails and the skin around the nails as clean as possible. Choose a gentle handwash that helps you clean the hands without being too harsh on the skin. Do this frequently, whether you are handling food, cleaning the house or any other chore for that matter. This will set the foundation for great nails.

  4. Be gentle • The next tip is to be gentle on your nails as scrubbing them way too roughly can expose your nails to infection. While there are a number of tools that are available for nail care, you need to take your pick and select the ones that do not expose you to infection. Moreover, when you use metal nail tools under the nails, it can cause the nail plate to separate from the skin and it will not look good

When you remove it by cutting it down, it will lead to the breaking of the protection barrier. This, in turn, will lead to the area susceptible to bacteria and hence, increase your chances of infecting the nails.

Base coat is important • When you are in a hurry to get ready for the big Christmas party or any dinner party for that matter, you do your nails in a hurry and completely forget about the base coat. However, it is essential that you do apply the base coat first and then apply a coat of your favorite paint.
