  26. Tips on getting your job on time. Give yourself enough time to plot before your review: Give yourself plenty of time for plotting, chances are everyone else will wait until the last minute to plot, do not make that mistake yourself. Give yourself at a minimum 24 hours to plot before it is due. Flatten Layers: Flatten all of your layers before printing. This will reduce the time it takes to spool the image Keep Linked images at the same Resolution: Please save linked images at 72 DPI. Plot Images at 72 DPI only: You are wasting valuable time if you plot at higher resolutions! If you are plotting, keep the resolution of all of your images at 72 DPI. You will not notice any difference between 72 DPI and 150 or 300 DPI on the plotters. However your files will plot very quickly if you leave it at 72 DPI.

  27. Tips on getting your job on time. Keep file sizes as small as possible: The smaller your file sizes are the faster it will print. Sizes should remain under 100MB. If you are using illustrator or InDesign with linked images, count up the file sizes of all the linked images. Flatten Layers : Flatten all of your layers before printing. This will reduce the time it takes to spool the image Remember to add links to the CD or DVD Fill in all the information that pertains to you: The more information we have the better. Ask if you don’t know.

  28. Please be Patience Try to control your emotions, If you’re worn out and stressed that means you are giving it your all! And we will do the same. Here in the Output shop we are on the front line with you, So watch the friendly fire because were all in this together. Don’t walk behind the counter, we’ll get to you. Don’t watch us from the glass, it makes us feel like fish in a tank. Don’t keep asking about your job, we work as fast as the printers allow us. Don’t wait until the last second, because everyone else will.
