  4. Instructions 1. Go to http://news.bbc.co.uk

  5. 2. Click on the RSS feed logo

  6. This is the BBC News RSS Feed. You can see that it is regularly updated The URL of all RSS feeds ends with “.xml” 3. Click “Subscribe to this Feed”

  7. 4. It is a good idea to organise your RSS feeds into Folders. Select “New Folder” 5. Call your new folder “News” and click “Create”

  8. 6. Select “Favourites” and “Feeds” to see your News feeds. Now it’s time to look for your own!

  10. E-Portfolio Remember to add print screens & annotations explaining how you recognised, found and subscribed to your RSS feeds To earn a higher NC Level, you need to explain each stage in as much detail as possible!

Homework Write an e-mail to the Head Teacher, Mr Moriarty, explaining how the use of RSS feeds on the school website would help keep parents, teachers and pupils aware of important news and events at St Augustine’s High School. This can be e-mailed to me (rgordon@staugustineshigh.org) or handed in on paper. Deadline: Friday 23rd October
