Findings

  • In 15 large U.S. cities, interviews with:

  • Mayor

  • Police Chief

  • Public Health Director

  • Schools Superintendent

  • Most cities said they lacked a comprehensive strategy

  • Cities with the greatest coordinated approach also had the lowest rates of youth violence
