  2. GETTING STARTED

  3. SIGNING IN From your chapter home click the “Sign In” (1) link at the top right of the screen. At the main login screen, enter your member number and password and click “Login (2)”. 1 2

CHAPTER SITE LAYOUT This is your blank chapter site layout; you have a top-navigation menu that allows you to create and edit content, and areas on the site called “Web Parts” that can act independently or in conjunction with other web parts and pages. The next page shows a completed chapter home page along with descriptions. MAIN SITE NAVIGATION Here you can navigate the main chapter pages. EDIT Use this button to check out your page and make edits. SITE ACTIONS MENU Here you can view create new pages, new sites, and view and organize your document library. This Web Part displays links to internal or external web pages and documents. This Web Part displays news articles published in the chapter’s news section. This Web Part displays news articles published in the chapter’s news section. This Web Part displays HTML content.

  5. NAVIGATION Here you can navigate the main chapter pages. QUICKLINKS This Web Part displays links to internal or external web pages and documents. CURRENT NEWS This Web Part displays the five most current items from your chapter news section. MAIN AREA & IMAGE This area contains an image along with information about your chapter. 1 ADVERTISEMENTS You can place sponsors or paid advertisements in this section. ADVERTISEMENTS You can place sponsors or paid advertisements in this section. 3 JOIN OUR COMMUNITY This Web Part displays the many different ways people can connect to your chapter. TWITTER This Web Part displays the Twitter feed from IIA North America.

  6. ADDING IMAGE TO HOME PAGE Continued Next Page… To personalize your home page, you can have a 465x165 @ 72dpi imagethat best represents your chapter. To upload an image, click the “Edit” (1) button at the top of your screen, click the “Click here to insert a picture from SharePoint” (2) area, then click “Browse” (3) in the pop-up window. 1 3 2

  7. ADDING IMAGE TO HOME PAGE …Images continued Click on the “Images” (1) link on the left, then click “Upload” (2) at the top of the window. Select the image you would like to upload (3), then hit “OK” (4). 2 3 1 4

  8. ADDING QUICKLINKS To add a new Quicklink, click “New Link” (1). In the popup window enter “Title” (2) and “Link URL” (3). Choose “Quicklink” (4) as the style then hit “OK” (5). 2 3 1 4 5

  10. ABOUT US SECTION From your home page you can navigate to each section in your chapter site. To edit or add information to the individual pages you need to be within that section. To get started, click the “About Us” link on the navigation bar.

  11. ABOUT US SECTION From the home page you have now navigated to the “About Us” section of your chapter site. Each web part displays different information and can be edited independently from the other web parts on the page. The “Chapter Officers” Web Part displays your chapter officers and contact information. The “Links” Web Part displays links to internal and/or external pages and documents. The “About This Chapter” Web Part displays information about your chapter.

  12. EDITING “ABOUT THIS CHAPTER” Select “Edit Web Part” (1) from the dropdown menu. Then click the “Click here to add new content” (2) and enter chapter information. Click “Publish” (3) at the top of your screen when you are done, and hit “Continue” (4) after the spelling check has completed. 3 1 2 4

  13. EDITING “CHAPTER OFFICERS” In the “Site Actions” (1) dropdown menu, choose “View All Site Content” (2). Click “Chapter Officers” (3) then “Upload” (4). Click “Browse” (5) to find your officer images and hit enter. Images will populate on the “About Us” home page. 1 * 3 4 2 * WHITE LINKS ARE BEING FIXED 5

  14. EDITING “LINKS” Select “Edit Web Part” (1) from the dropdown menu. Click “New Link” (2) and enter your information in the popup window (3). When you are finished, hit “Publish” (4). 3 1 2 4 4

  16. CAREERS SECTION From your home page you can navigate to each section in your chapter site. To edit or add information to the individual pages you need to be within that section. To get started, click the “Careers” link on the navigation bar.

  17. CAREERS From the home page you have now navigated to the “Careers” section of your chapter site. Each web part displays different information and can be edited independently from the other web parts on the page. The “IIA Career Opportunities” Web Part displays job listings for The IIA and is populated automatically. The “Resources” Web Part displays links to internal and/or external pages and documents. The “Chapter Positions” Web Part displays current job listings for your chapter.

  18. EDITING “CHAPTER POSITIONS” In the “Site Actions” (1) dropdown menu, choose “New Page” (2). Enter the job title in the “New Page” (3) window and press “Create.” Enter Job Posting Date, Location, and Job Description (4). When you are finished adding your information, click “Publish” (5). 1 4 2 3 5

  19. EDITING “RESOURCES” Select “Edit Web Part” (1) from the dropdown menu. Click “New Link” (2) and enter your information in the popup window (3). When you are finished, click “Publish” (4). 3 1 2 4 4

  21. MEMBERS ONLY SECTION From your home page you can navigate to each section in your chapter site. To edit or add information to the individual pages you need to be within that section. To get started, click the “Members Only” link on the navigation bar.

  22. MEMBERS ONLY From the home page you have now navigated to the “Members Only” section of your chapter site. In this section, only the “Related Documents” web part is editable. Click ahead to the next slide to learn more. The “Related Documents” Web Part displays the documents in your member library. The “Admins Only” and “Leaders Only” Web Parts are still under development. The “Document Filter” Web Part filters the documents in your members only library.

  23. EDITING “RELATED DOCUMENTS” Continued Next Page… In the “Site Actions” (1) dropdown menu, choose “View All Site Content” (2). Click “Chapter Documents” (3) then “Add New Item” (4). Select your document (5) and hit enter. 3 4 2 1 5

  24. EDITING “RELATED DOCUMENTS” …Related Documents continued After uploading your document, a window will pop up; this is where you enter your documents Meta Data.   26. NEWS SECTION From your home page you can navigate to each section in your chapter site. To edit or add information to the individual pages you need to be within that section. To get started, click the “News” link on the navigation bar.

  27. NEWS From the home page you have now navigated to the “News” section of your chapter site. In this section, only the blank area is editable. The “IIA HQ NEWS” Web Part displays an RSS feed directly from theiia.org. This is where your chapters news items will post.

  31. TRAINING & EVENTS SECTION From your home page you can navigate to each section in your chapter site. To edit or add information to the individual pages you need to be within that section. To get started, click the “Training & Events” link on the navigation bar.

  32. TRAINING & EVENTS From the home page you have now navigated to the “Training & Events” section of your chapter site. In this section, only the blank area is editable. The “IIA Events” Web Part displays events from theiia.org and is populated automatically. The “Events In This Chapter” Web Part displays training & events for your chapter.
