  1. Delta Airlines Unaccompanied Minor Policy What is the Unaccompanied Minor Policy of Delta Airlines? The Unaccompanied Minor Policy of Delta Airlines (called the ‘Unaccompanied Minor Program’) offers special services to kids traveling along on domestic and international flights. The policy is for children between the age group of 5 years and 14 years so that their flight is comfortable and safe. There are many perks of the Unaccompanied Minor Program. Trackable barcoded wristbands, and access to lounge services (not at all airports) are two such advantages. Learn about the rules, fees, and policy details. Rules determined by Delta Airlines for unaccompanied minors These are the rules specified by Delta Airlines under the Unaccompanied Minor Program: If a child (between 5 and 14 years) is not flying in the same flight or compartment with an adult companion (18 years old or more), the Unaccompanied Minor Program is compulsory.  For teenagers between 15 years and 17 years, this policy is optional.  If unaccompanied children are between 5 and 7 years, they can board nonstop flights only.  Minors aged 8-14 years are permitted to fly on nonstop flights and connecting flights, provided that the connection flight too is of Delta Airlines – or a Delta Connection flight.  Unaccompanied minors can fly on both international and domestic flights.  The fee for an unaccompanied minor flying on Delta Airlines is USD 150 (for one way) and up to 4 kids can travel together by paying this fee. This fee is in addition to the adult fare applicable as per each unaccompanied minor’s age.  To get the Unaccompanied Minor Service, travelers can book by phone, online, or through a travel agent. When you book online, call + 1-844-933- 2065 and share the flight details of your kid, the person who will take your child to the airport, as well as your child who will meet the kid at the destination airport. 

  2. A trackable wristband is mandatory for all unaccompanied minors. Unaccompanied minors also get a Delta escort and Sky Zone lounge facility at specific locations.  Unaccompanied minors won’t be allowed on:  A day’s last connecting flight  On red-eye flights (flights between 9 pm and 5 am) unless:  It is a domestic flight (time: 2 hours or less)  It is an international flight  It is a flight to/ from Hawaii and Alaska  It is the only connecting flight available on the day How to book the Unaccompanied Minor Travel program of Delta Airlines  According to the Unaccompanied Minor policy of Delta Airlines, you can book the ‘Unaccompanied Minor Program’ by phone or online (via a travel agency or Delta Airlines). When you book online, call + 1-844-933-2065 and inform Delta Airlines about your purchase of a ticket for your kid. In addition, share the following information with the airline: The name of your child, the flight number, and the date of travel  The address, phone number, and name of the legal guardian or parent who will accompany the child to the airport of origin and the adult who will meet the kid at the airport after he completes the trip  When you do the booking, a 4-digit PIN will be provided to you. Save it as you will require the PIN when you have to make alterations to the itinerary. Delta Sky Zone  Delta Sky Zone (meant for entertainment) can be accessed by unaccompanied minors taking a connection flight of Delta Airlines via Seattle, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York (JFK), Cincinnati, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, or Detroit. Kids traveling alone have to wait for the connecting flight in Delta’s children-only lounges. They can play with video games and toys, call their parents/ family members, and read books to pass their time. A Delta representative will be there at all times to make the child feel secure and comfortable. Pick-up and arrival Whoever is authorized to receive your child at the destination airport must: Reach the airport before the landing time of the flight  Take identification papers (along with signature)  Acquire a gate pass  Wait at the arrival gate as he/ she will meet the child there 

  4. Delta Airlines: Fee for an Unaccompanied Minor How much is the fee charged by Delta Airlines for unaccompanied minors? The Unaccompanied Minor fee of Delta Airlines is CAD/ USD/ EUR 150 (one-way fee). CAD is for flights departing from Canada and EUR is for flights originating in Europe (for both connecting and non-stop flights). The service/ program fee is charged in addition to the ticket price. As per the ‘Unaccompanied Minor Policy’ of Delta Airlines: The service fee for the travel of an unaccompanied minor covers up to 4 kids flying together.  The travel program for unaccompanied minors is mandatory for kids aged 5- 14 years. Children of the age group of 15-17 years may not book this service. But if the service is booked, you must pay the fee.  You can pay the service fee for the convenient travel of your unaccompanied child by phone or during check-in at the airport.
