  3. Mobile GIS • Successfully deployed 5 mobile GIS units • Package includes • ArcGIS Mobile Software • HP Pavilion DM1Z 11.6” laptop • GlobalSat BU-353 USB GPS • Rosewill Power Inverter • Rosewill Vehicle Laptop Stand

  4. 2012 BAS • Attended BAS Workshop • Very helpful • USCB boundaries vs. our boundary layer • Very different • BAS staff see this a lot when going from paper to digital submissions • Courthouse Research • Find annexation orders, plot them • Adjust boundary discrepancies, run union • Attribute change file • Submit to USCB • Continue adjustments next year

Pictometry Usage • Pictometry data on Assessor’s server • All field personnel and admin staff have EFS on desktop computer • Been helpful – cuts down on map room visits • Configuration Editor • Tried on mobile laptop – EFS seems “buggy” • Crashed EFS and caused problems with ArcGIS Mobile • Sheriff deputies’ laptops - work in progress • Detectives – Using imagery to plan arrests/raids • 911 working to integrate with CAD • Fire association interested – work in progress • Attended EFS admin training – helpful

County-wide GIS Coordination • Mostly with Pictometry at this point • Other departments interested in participating • Fire Association • Health Department • Zoning/Code Enforcement • Dilapidated Building Ordinance • Data sharing with 911 • Future imagery acquisition – potential • Municipalities • City of Oak Hill • Vacant Property Registration, and more
