Individual Culture • Belief system/expression of belief system of an individual • It does not require to be documented • It can be tacit • It can be perfectly covered (masked) • It may or may not be getting along with the culture of organization • Some times it may not be even known to self • But it is there………..

  3. Institutional culture • Critical mass is required • It has to be explicit • It has to be documented, to be communicated, to be convinced • It has to be in line with the vision • It requires a process and not automatic • It is dynamic • It may not be there……

  4. Process Week- 1 For campaign (Assembly and class room instruction) Week-2 Implementation and monitoring(Performance gap can be accommodated) Week -3 onwards… Teachers are accountable.

  5. Implementation-monitoring • Principal will prepare performance evaluation report • In week one, clarification on issue will be provided by the Principal • In week two, specific issues can be discussed as case study under the leadership of HM and then the same will be escalated to Principal if required

  6. Teacher Role- 1 • The Project implementation team comprises entire teacher group. Every non-class teacher will have to take the responsibility of a class

  7. Teachers Role-2 • Two teachers will be designated as score masters for each cultural component to give numerical marks on performance (school as a whole)

  8. Monitoring • There will be unscheduled inspection • There will be feed back process from different stake holders randomly • Report from school leadership • Communication to CEO(Confidential) keharish@gmail.com

  9. Reporting by Score Masters In the year 2010-11 there will be 8 sessions Sixteen teachers will take the role of Score Masters Next year, same cultural component may repeat or not(situational)

  10. School Culture No:1 (Student centered)(Movement inside the campus) First expression of a culture is the collective body language of a group of people. The way they walk, move around, respond to a command, response to situations etc.

General Rules of movement • Class during interval • Class during teacher change over • Movement outside the class room- Formal • Movement outside the class room- informal • Showing respect to others (friends) • Showing respect to teachers • Showing respect to outsiders • Tea/Snacks time • Dining Hall

  14. School Culture No:2 (Teacher centered)(Calling by Name) • Class Teachers • Subject Teachers • Activity Teachers • Part time Teachers • Support Staff • Drivers • Nannies

  15. Negative marks for open violation • Every time, there will be a negative point against conscious violation of school culture or being careless about it . • Three negative point will attribute to the taking away of incentive with a warning • If repeated, the same will be treated as a serious misconduct
