  2. SEMI Journal 3/3/14 • Start a new set of journals for the week! • How can a team work efficiently? • Are you a leader or a follower when you work on a team? • What are some “norms” when you work on a team? • BE SURE TO CHECK THE WEBPAGE FOR THE WEEK!

SEM2 Journal 3/3/14 • Start a new set of journals for the week! • Tell me about 3 things you learned during the cultural role plays from other students. • What will you do differently based on what we learned in class about different cultures? • Give me your opinion about this activity and if there are any improvements for the next class of SEM2 students. • BE SURE TO CHECK THE WEBPAGE FOR THE WEEK!

  5. SEMI Journal 3/4/14 • If you could spend 1 day with ANY sports or entertainment star (alive or dead), answer the following: • Who? • Why? • What would you do? (Please remember that your response must be school appropriate).

  6. SEM2 Journal 3/4/14 • What is the difference between primary and secondary research and provide examples of each kind. • List and define the 3 types of research designs.

  7. ITGS Journal 3/5/14 • In the Guide 10 Learner Traits for all IB students are listed. Which traits have you improved upon since starting ITGS class? • Which 2 traits are your top 2 right now today? • Which traits do you still need to improve upon? How are you going to do this?

  9. SEM2 Journal 3/5/14 • Why is sports and entertainment data important to the industry? • What is a database of information? Give me some examples of sports or entertainment databases you use. (If you need to conduct some internet research, feel free to do that at this time). • Please get out your Collecting Information Partner Activity you completed yesterday.

  10. ITGS Journal 3/6/14 • You recently read the NBEA article, “Consider the Source.” What parts did you find most helpful? • How can I use more effectively with future ITGS students? (Please share any changes in the assignment or improve-ment ideas).

  11. SEMI Journal 3/6/13 • List 5 sports or entertainment products and name the athlete or entertainer that endorses that product.

  12. SEMI Activity • Students are to work with their seatmate and provide 6-8 examples of why/how consumers will participate in or attend sports/events. • Provide a clear example and tell what the motivator that got a consumer/person involved. • Students should use rational, emotional and patronage motives to explain why. • All examples need to be school appropriate. • Be prepared to share your examples with class!

  13. SEM2 Journal 3/6/13 • In a few minutes, we will watch Galanis Sports Data Video and you will take some notes in your journals and then write a summary of the video and include an explanation of how data is used in the sports world. • Be prepared to discuss and explain your findings.

  14. ITGS Part #1 Journal 3/7/14 • How has ITGS class been going these last 2 weeks? • Are there any improvements Ms. Draime could implement to make the class better for you? EXPLAIN. • Keep your journals and take the Test and complete Part #2 and turn in your journals by the end of the period.
