  10. Methods of Natural Family Planning. • Abstinence is the only method that is effective a hundred percent. • Natural Family Planning (NFP) can be 90-98% effective. • Approved by many religions and ethnic groups throughout the world.

  11. Women have eggs ~ Men have sperm. • Women have one to two eggs that travel to woman’s uterus once a month. • An unfertilized egg can live up to 12 hours. • Men have millions of sperm • Sperm live for forty-eight to seventy-two hours, no egg they die.

  12. What do we do? • Men are always fertile and women are fertile once a month. Answer = When is a women fertile?

  14. Calendar Standard Days Method • SDM is 95% effective when used correctly. The 95% means that 5 out of 100 women practicing this method correctly for one year will get pregnant.   16. Temperature • Your temperature will rise the morning that you ovulate. • This will be around day fourteen.

  21. Fertility Beads are as easy as 1-2-3 • Twenty-eight beads on the bracelet = Twenty- eight days of a month. • Start at knot or safety pin

  22. Red Beads • Five red beads = the five days of menses, intercourse is okay. You are at a low risk for conception.

  23. Yellow Beads • Three yellow beads = Three days intercourse is okay, you are at a low risk for conception.

  24. White Beads • Eleven White Beads = No intercourse, you are at a high risk for conception.

  25. Yellow Beads • Nine yellow beads = Nine days intercourse is okay. You are at a low risk for conception.
