An enquiry • Brainstorm the steps of organizing a conference. • Arrange the order of organizing a conference, and state the reasons. • Decide on the budget • Arrange a date • Choose a location • Decide on the duration] • Invite the delegates • Finalize the programme details • Organize the equipment required

  4. III. An enquiry • Listen to a conversation, and try to get the general idea. • Answer the questions according to the conversation. Who is calling Europa Events? Who is the called? • Why is he calling Europa Events? • What is the address of the company? • What is the phone number? • How many delegates will attend the conference? • Do they have a preferred location? • What is the company’s budget? • When does the company hold the conference? • How long will the conference last? • What do they need? • When will the company make a written proposal?

  5. III. An enquiry • Listen to the conversation again, and try to judge whether the statements are true or false. • Complete the form and report the information to the class. • Discuss in pairs. What do you think Rachel Day’s job involves? • Read the three descriptions and complete the scanning exercise. • Vocabulary overlook conference packages well-equipped peaceful • Read the advertisements and work out which hotel would be cheapest for Daniel’s conference.
