  2. Rwanda Rwanda is a beautiful country in Eastern Africa. It has stunning mountains in the west and savannah in the east. Like Ireland it has lots of lakes throughout the country.

  4. Economic System The money in Rwanda is called the Rwanda Franc 1Rwanda Franc = € 0.001 1Euro equals = 924 Rwanda Francs

  5. The People There are 12,012,589 people in Rwanda. (almost 3 times the number of people in Ireland) Rwanda is 84,420km2 big (only 1/4 the size of Ireland) Most densely populated country in Africa (5 times density of Ireland) Average person lives to 55years of age (in Ireland average person lives to 80yrs)

  6. The Genocide Rwanda is made up of 3 different tribes (or communities) of people: Hutu, Tutsi and Twa Although they were a minority, the Tutsis were ruling. They controlled most the land and power. In 1994, the Hutu leader was traveling in a plane when it mysteriously crashed. This started one of the bloodiest genocides the world has ever known where the Hutus systematically killed every Tutsi they could find. Almost 1,000,000 people were killed…in just 100 days 100,000 children lost their parents

  7. It’s been exactly 20years since the horrible genocide SO…we thought we should do something REALLY special!
