WHAT SUCCESSFUL APPRENTICESHIP APPLICANTS HAVE LEARNT... • Finding an Apprenticeship takes time and commitment • It’s important to get the best grades you can • A good CV can be really useful • Evidence of work can make a big difference • (part-time, voluntary and work experience are all useful) • It’s a good idea to apply for a range of Apprenticeships • It’s worth making use of all the help that’s available

APPRENTICESHIPS ANSWERS TO SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS… • Anyone over the age of 16 can do an Apprenticeship • Some, but not all Apprenticeships, require attendance with a training provider • Some Apprenticeships start in September, but others start throughout the year • You can do A Levels and then doan Apprenticeship • You can go to university after you have completed an Apprenticeship • You are responsible for finding the job, but training providers will support you • You will need a CV – even if you have registered on the AV website • There is a legal minimum wage for apprentices
