Purpose of the study • God’s punishment came on the people –why? • They were involved in crime and idolatory • Yet they thought they were better than their neighbours • They thought by sacrifices and offerings they can shut God’s mouth • What is idolatory- self ambition without God’s grace www.drnjpaul.com

The plan of the book • Ch 1-7 God’s clear warnings to people • Ch 8-14 God’s Glory and majesty Vs People’s dependance on Egypt and false prophets • Ch15-22- Peoples sins and idolatory exposed- dependance on Egypt and not God who brought them out • Ch 23- 30 sins and punishment of Israel, Ammon, Moab and E gypt • Ch 31,32 Tyre the fallen angel also punished • Ch33 ,34 Repent- Gods call and warning to people and shepherd www.drnjpaul.com

  4. Why should we read this book? Why do we read history and geography? We know they happened or they are there Does it have any message for us? What are we supposed to do after reading this? www.drnjpaul.com

  5. Lessons to learn Punishment comes to all – even God fearing Why were the Jews punished? How long God was patient with them? What is idolatory? Do we find idolatory among believers? Why were they taken back to Babylon and not any where elsein Jesus time why were they scattered all over the world? www.drnjpaul.com
