  8. Absence Notes Absence Notes • When your child is absent we request that you call the Main Office and then you must write a note and send it in with your child when they return to school.

  9. Visitors to Walden Elementary Upon visiting the building: • Sign in/out • Provide photo identification • Wear a visitor’s badge at all times

  10. Dismissal • Dismissal is at 3:30 p.m. If you need to change dismissal procedures, it must be in writing. In an emergency our Fax # is 778-7110.

  11. Transportation • If your child attends Day Care and needs bus transportation, you must fill out the request form and return it to school before the 1st Day.

  12. Emergency Information • Please provide us with 3 emergency contact numbers. • Don’t forget to update your phone number with the main office should it change throughout the year. • In an emergency you will be contacted by Connect-ed.

  13. Lunch • Lunch Tickets can be purchased from the Cafeteria today during lunch or during the school year before 10:00 a.m. Cost: Breakfast: $1.25 Lunch: $2.25 Milk: $ .60 Applications for Free or Reduced Lunch will be available in the Valley Central Viking Press and from your child’s Kindergarten classroom teacher.

  14. Code of Conduct/Plain Language Summary • Code of Conduct/Plain Language Summary will be sent home with your child on the 1st Day of School. • It covers procedures and issues related to student’s rights and responsibilities. • Complete document is available on the Valley Central Website.

  16. Student Photographs on the Website • If you do not wish to have your child’s picture on our website, you must write a letter to the Principal stating this. • A new letter must be sent every year.
