In groups prepare some questions you may wish to ask him. Possible topics the spreading of the plague, treatments, cures, personal impressions

  2. What was life like in London during the Great Plague?  Aims To find out about the explanations for and treatments of plague in the seventeenth century

  3.  Your task • Watch the film clip from ‘Fire & Fever’ and complete the question sheet your teacher provides.

  4.  Homework • Imagine you are a Londoner living through the plague. Use the information on pp.97-99 to write your own plague diary. You need to include the following: • Seventeenth century explanations for the plague • References to the treatments • Explanations of the different people employed by the city to protect the survivors
