  2. In 1904 Amelia built a roller coaster in her backyard it felt like flying.

  3. 1920, Amelia bought her first plane for $10 and took flying lessons. For her 24th birthday Amelia received a “Canary” plane.

  4. On June 17-18, 1928, Amelia flew “Friendship” from Canada to Wales. It took 20 hours and 40 minutes.

  5. 1931, Amelia Married George Putnam. He planned Amelia’s trip to fly across the Atlantic Ocean by herself.

  6. 1932 Amelia flew in her Lockheed Vega. She was in stormy weather. She landed in a farmer’s field in Ireland.

  7. On June 1st, 1937 Amelia Earhart flew her Lockheed Electra – she flew from Florida and planned to fly around the World along the equator.

  8. On July 2nd, 1937 the world lost contact with Amelia. She was thought to be dead.
