  1. Praise to Our Three-in-One God St. Peter Worship Sunday, May 22nd

  2. Welcome toSt. Peter! • We welcome you to worship as we unite our hearts and blend our voices in praise to the true and living God of our salvation. God reveals himself in Scripture to be three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and yet only one God. Though not even Christians can understand the doctrine of the Trinity, yet we accept this by faith and acknowledge that our God is a great and majestic God. May this Triune God be present as we worship him, and may our lives be unending praise and honor to him!

  3. The Athanasian Creed • This creed is named after St. Athanasius, a staunch defender of the Christian faith in the fourth century. It was prepared to assist the church in combating two errors that undermined bible teaching. One error denied that God’s Son and the Holy Spirit are of one being or Godhead with the Father. The other error denied that Jesus Christ is true God and true man in one person. The Athanasian Creed continues to serve the Christian church as a standard of the truth. It declares that whoever rejects the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of Christ is without saving faith.

  4. Welcome toSt. Peter! • There are friendship registers at the end of each pew. • Please take a moment to give us your information so that we have a record of your time with us today. • Thank you!

  8. OUR COMMUNION PRACTICE • In the Sacrament of Holy Communion, Jesus gives us his true body and blood. We express unity with our Savior and those who share our faith and stand on the teachings of God’s Word. • Therefore, we invite to our altar those who are members of our church or the WELS. Visitors and guests who wish to commune are asked to speak to a pastor before the service begins.
