My name is Sid Roth. I am a Jew. Both of my parents were Jewish. I have Israeli and American citizenship. I attended a traditional synagogue where I was bar mitzvah. Like most American Jews, I found organized religion irrelevant to my life. I was proud of being Jewish, but bored with religion. To be honest, my god was money. My goal was to be a millionaire by age 30. I mean really hear from God for yourself? I know I do! Lana, you’re special but I’m special too! LANA: Right. BOB: And the people that are watching us are special too! They are all special to God! LANA: Yeah. BOB: Can everybody hear Gods voice? LANA: Absolutely! Yeah! In John 10:27 it says, My sheep know Me and they hear My voice. And so I encourage people you know if you know Jesus and you’re walking with the Lord, you can hear His voice! That’s a promise of scripture so, yeah, I really encourage people to take that truth that God will speak to you. He wants to speak to you and you were created with the ability to hear from God! BOB: Now a lot of people who watch you and respond to you are women. LANA: Yeah. BOB: So guys too? LANA: [laughs] BOB: Ask to hear Gods’ voice? LANA: Absolutely, they can! [laughing] BOB: What does it mean? We say that a lot. Hearing Gods voice. What does that really mean to hear His voice? Does that mean you hear an audible voice of God? What is that? LANA: Yeah, well you can hear an audible voice of God but the thing I love is that God speaks in so many different ways! You know He speaks through the Word. He speaks through visions and dreams. You know He speaks through encounters. Like there’s just so many areas of the way that the Lord speaks and I really love to encourage people to look for Him everywhere! You know be looking for how God speaks because you know I could be watching a movie and the Lord speaks to me, you know, through what I’m watching! You know? And I have such a heart to really be in my day wherever I am to be looking at what He’s speaking in the Word, He’s speaking in dreams and visions and knowing the ways that He speaks and just looking and being aware! BOB: Okay. So I want to hear God. 1/3
LANA: Yes. BOB: What are practical steps that I can take? LANA: Yeah. I always say you know its not about ability, it’s about availability! And the Lord loves our availability. He loves the place of intentionality! Lord, I’m sitting here and I want to hear from you. And so I encourage people to open the Word. Always stay in the Word! That’s the Lord speaking. But I also encourage people to ask the Lord a question. So I in my earlier years when I first started to hear from God I would ask questions like, Lord, what do You think of me? You know like who am I? What’s my identity? And then I would be reading scripture and suddenly a verse would pop out at me about, you know that I was created in His image! And I just use questions as platforms, I guess, like springboards to dive off. BOB: Hmm! LANA: And really I think its about intentionality and knowing that you know God is looking for ways to communicate to us! He’s not sitting there going well when you dot all your i’s and cross all your t’s, then I’ll speak to you. He’s actually looking for a people that are so hungry to hear and to take that time to be positioned! You know it’s how you’re positioning yourself. Are you in the Word? Worship is the way I connect so quickly with the Lord so I will intentionally spend my days, whether its five minutes or five hours depending how much time I have, to just be with Him and its amazing! BOB: Yeah. Now, what if I’m hearing something or I’m getting a thought. LANA: Yes. BOB: And I’m not sure its God? LANA: Yeah. BOB: You know what do I do with that? LANA: Yeah. [laughs] And I think you know were all still, were all on a journey and we all still are in that place of Lord, am I hearing right? Is it You? Is it not You? What I encourage people is always check what you hear with the Word! You know the Lords never going to go outside of His Word! And what you’re hearing is it in line with His nature! Is it in line with who He is and His goodness and His kindness? I talk a lot in my book about the fruit of the voice of God. So does it empower you? Draw you closer to Jesus? Fill you with peace? Where if I’m hearing a voice or a thought that’s condemning me or making me feel extremely anxious or fearful, well that’s clearly not from God! And so really I encourage people to stay in the Word and check it up against the Word and always be praying for wisdom and discernment! Lord, give me discernment to know what I’m hearing right now! BOB: Have you ever heard something and you had to like ask, God, is that You? 2/3
LANA: Yeah, quite a number of times! [laughing] BOB: [laughs] LANA: Especially when He says, Step out of your comfort zone! I say, Lord, is that You? [laughs] BOB: [laughing] Well Lana, I would be remiss if I didn’t take a couple of minutes and have you look into the camera and prophesy over those who are viewing right now! What is God saying to them right now! LANA: Yeah, I just really feel right now to encourage you that your greatest days are ahead! What do I mean by that? I really believe that the Lord has an adventure for you! That what has been part of your story in the negative sense is no longer going to be part of your story. That there is significant sovereign restoration of God that is being released over your life right now! That things that have been stolen, I’m seeing people that are feeling like time has been wasted, I want to prophesy to you today that the Lord is going to make up for lost time! That you are actually moving into a time of great increase and you’re moving into a time of some of your greatest days with the Lord! You’re about to see some significant breakthroughs and suddenlies! And I just keep seeing 24-hour turnarounds! I’ve been seeing it for about a year but I’m seeing right now that there are many that have been in such a long battle and you’re actually crying out, God, when is this ever going to end? It just keeps getting worse, one thing after another! Well, I want to prophesy over you today that there is a sovereign move of God that’s about to invade your life that’s going to turn things around and testify to the power and love of God in your life! Get ready to see the kindness of Jesus poured out in your life and a whole new level of intimacy! So I just release that right now and I want to say to you today get your hopes up! Get your hopes up in Jesus because the best is yet to come! BOB: Lana, thank you so much for being with us today! This has been so encouraging and I know for many of the viewers this is just what they needed to hear at just the right time! LANA: Uh-huh! BOB: So thank you for joining us on Something More!
