InterpretiveBulletins • Interpretive Bulletins are released by the Health Facility Evaluation Section to clarify sections of the Michigan Design Standards for Health Care Facilities in Michigan and when research, experience, or technology illustrates present regulations do not adequately address the specific instances or circumstances in the health care environment.

Other Client Support Projects Goals of the “Coordinated Code Project” • Joint BCCFS and BHS Committee • Eliminate Code Conflicts Between Building Codes and the Health Facility Design Standards • State Adoption of International Fire Codes (IFC) to replace NFPA if approved by CMS • Request for acceptance of IFC equivalency by CMS.
