  5. Strengths • 16 Career Clusters • Dual Enrollments/Articulation with Post-Secondary • CTE Results: Retention, Graduation, Employability • STEM Camps, Career Academies, etc. • Student Credentialing, Apprenticeships, etc.

  6. Weaknesses • Image/Perception/Awareness • Funding/Units: Facilities, Equipment, Amount • Lack of Collaboration/Alignment among Education and . Business • Lack of Pathways for Everyone • Training: Counselors

  7. Opportunities • Industry Involvement: Funding, Apprenticeships, etc. • Dual Enrollment, Academic Collaborative Approach, . Articulation • Effective Career Counseling • Education, Awareness, Support • Quality Credentialing, Metrics, Assessments

Obstacles (Threats) • Lack of Funding and Allocation of Resources between Academic and CTE Programs • Current Perceptions of the CTE Program Among all Stakeholders • Certification/Accreditation Requirements within Traditional Educational Setting • Administration Structure (State and Local), Funding, Communication, 4X4 Structure • Lack of Leadership (Government, Education, Business) • Diverse Needs and Resources of Local Communities • Lack of Recognized Standards and Definition within the Evolving Field of CTE

Breakout Session #1 • Groups pre-assigned by stakeholder group • Finalize Goals for your Group • Identify Critical Issues for CTE (4-6) • Make sure at least one of your Critical Issues directly addresses your Stakeholder Group • Rules of Breakouts: • Everyone contributes • One person doesn’t dominate the conversation
