The comma helps readers to understand what they are reading and prevents readers from misreading.

Why do I have to use commas?

Placing commas in the wrong places, changes the sentence completely.

You use a comma in a sentence; where it would make sense for the reader to take a pause, instead of coming to a complete stop with a period.
