  1. Rick Santorum By The other person people forget about

  2. Part 1

  3. Reduce the size and scope of a government • Cutting government spending, capping future government spending, and introducing a Balanced Budget Amendment.

  4. Creating a tax structure that does not punish, but encourages innovation and entrepreneurship • Reduce taxes on individuals • Making the system simpler, flatter, and fairer • Cut the corporate tax rate in half- to be competitive with the rest of the industrialized world • Cut the tax rate to zero for all manufacturers irrespective of the tax paying entity- to keep businesses here and giving us jobs • Permanently extend the current Capital Gains and Dividend Tax rates, repeal the Death Tax, and repatriate taxable income outside the United States at a rate of 5%-to induce job creation here in America rather than abroad

  5. Removing the regulatory burdens that hold our economic engine Back • Repeal all regulations the Obama Administration put into place • Streamline the patent process-to unclog the patent backlog and encourage innovation in America • Each new federal law and reauthorization of existing laws should be simpler and limit the ability of federal agencies to expand upon the law through regulation.

  6. Ensuring global capital and credit markets Believe in America again • Repeal the Sarbanes-Oxley law- to un-chased capital overseas • Repeal Dodd-Frank before and start from scratch to enact real reform-that another finical process but at the same time does not place impediments in the way of capital formation and credit availability for average Americans • No to big to fail businesses- that is why we had bail outs

  7. Tap America's vast domestic resources to power our 21st Century economy • Energy policy that utilizes oil, natural gas, coal, and nuclear energy-to power our economy and empower the American worker • No new natural gas regulations- cause the states are doing this so the federal shouldn't get involved.

  8. Hayek or Keynesian • Hayek because he wants less regulations and corporate taxes • However, he did compare the economy to an engine like Keynes

  9. Part 2 • Reduce taxes on individuals,, repeal the Death Tax, and repatriate taxable income outside the United States at a rate of 5% and cutting the tax rate to zero for all manufacturers irrespective of the tax paying entity Permanently will create jobs because people will have more money to spend. Businesses will come back to the states giving more jobs, due to tax breaks and it will be more expensive to sell overseas. • Making the system simpler, flatter, and fairer, extending the current Capital Gains and Dividend Tax rates, cut the corporate tax rate in half, this will lose accounting jobs, and there will be more tax on profit

  10. Removing regulations will let businesses do what they need to do for cheaper, but it could cost more for Americans • Cutting government spending will lose jobs, because less money in the governemnt means they’ll have to cut jobs to not go into more debt. • The energy plan will give more jobs, because we'll be needing more jobs to use untouched American energy.

  11. Part 3 • Green energy interest groups and the green movement will be hurt because Santorum wants real energy. • Democrats will hurt- he republicans • Oil companies and like will benefit because he wants real energy • Businesses will benefit because they will get less taxed • People relying on government help will be hurt because the government needs to cut and they’ll cut social policies

  12. Part 4 • I would use the media, rallies, conventions, businesses. • Opponents would use a commercial about nuclear energy harming our citizens, to disclaim his energy economic plan, they would say that the businesses would get tax breaks while the poor people are trying to survive with less help

  13. Part 5 • I would firstly present it to a member in both the house and senate who I believe would agree will what I am proposing. After I know that people would back this plan, I would have someone summit it to the economic committee. I would get lobbyists on bored to help me in this process. I than would hope that it made it through the committee and the senate and house.
