  1. Infield positioning

  2. A problem we have had in past years is not being able to easily position the infield. This year, we will call infield positions using a simple signal system.

  3. The signal will be a two digit number The first digit will indicate which way to shade: • Toward 1st • Straightaway • Toward 3rd (didn’t I say it was simple?)

  4. The second digit will indicate depth: • shallow • medium • depth

  5. Basic Position: 22 4 6 3 5 1 2

  6. Left handed pull hitter/right handed late swinger: 12 4 6 6 4 3 5 5 3 1 2

  7. Right handed pull hitter/left handed late swinger: 32 4 4 6 6 3 3 5 1 5 2

  8. 11, 21, and 31 (22 for reference) 4 6 6 4 4 6 6 4 3 5 1 5 5 5 3 3 3 2

  9. ….you should be able to figure out 13, 23, 33 all by yourself…..

  10. Bunt Situations: Add ‘b’ to signal. (22b, 11b, etc) Infielders covering the bunt (3rd base always, and 1st base with 1st and 2nd unoccupied) move about 2 meters in
