SIG Sub-Working Group : QoS • Progress • Scope and the progress so far was presented by Ashutosh (NIKSUN), SWG Chair. • The baseline document is planned to be converted into Technical Report on QoS. • QoS Requirements of the emerging carrier grade WLAN and its interworking with Cellular networks is added as new work item. • Indian ISP’s specific requirements are expected to be address under this SWG. • Decisions • QoS will continue to be as SWG. • All the work related to QoS in any other WG are to be address by SWG-QoS in SIG. • At some appropriate time later (on achieving critical mass) SWG-QoS will be converted as WG-QoS. SIG Sub-Working Group : Security • Progress • Scope and the progress so far was presented by Anand(NEC), SWG Chair. • A technical report on current state of Security mechanisms in WLAN (based on 802.11x technology) is to be prepared and will be submitted to interest user groups. • NEC and VNL committed their contribution in this regard. Others have been requested to contribute. • IIIT-A is requested to come further contribution on child cyber security. • Security requirement with regard to WLAN and its interworking with Cellular Network interworking are to be further studied in this SWG • Decisions • Security SWG in SIG will continue in current form. • All the work related to QoS in any other WG are to be address by SWG-Security in SIG. • At some appropriate time later (on achieving critical mass) SWG-Security will be converted as WG-QoS.   4. SIG Sub-Working Group : Food Security • Progress • No Progress in this meeting • Decisions • Continue to be SWG on Food Security but activity is suspended till the further contributions are received on this topic. GISFI#XX, Date

  5. SIG Sub-Working Group : Wireless Robotics • Proposed to introduce new SWG in SIG on the standardization on Wireless Robotics • TCS presented the details of ETSI meeting held on this subject. • Various aspects on potential standardization scope in wireless robotics were discussed, • TCS will present more details on the subject during the next meeting. • Depending on the discussion, decision to form a SWG on this topic.
