Ever since I was a child, I have always been on the lookout for that pair of sneakers that would set me apart from the crowd. It has been on the rise in India ever since Nike and Adidas started promoting the culture and we soon saw India's very own ‘Footlocker' style multi-brand shoe store that stocks some of the rarest and highly revered kicks.

2. Many dismiss this obsession as childish and often overlook the fact that people drop some serious money to obtain some of these pairs. There's a thriving economy that enables collectors to buy and sell sneakers among themselves that are worth collecting. Some people like to invest money in stocks and properties, we like to invest them in sneakers. I wanted to know if there are others like me and I managed to find some via social media. Now, in order to know more about Sneaker collectors and what inspired them to become a part of the culture, I asked them a few questions that were always at the back of my head when I started collecting. I simply posted a Facebook jordan 4 black catpost a few months ago, and to my surprise, I got to know plenty of sneaker collectors in India that follow the same ethos and we decided to feature a few of them and their collections. In order to understand the sneaker collecting culture, we caught up with the man who opened India's first multi-brand sneaker store that highlights some of the most revered kicks that people like to collect.
