  5. Culture • Fan Fest • Gullah language • Native American first people live in southeast • Native Americans names

  6. Attractions • Kennedy space center • El Morro-a fort to defend Puerto Rico • The Mississippi river is in southeast. • Assateague island

  7. Fun Facts • Manatees are found in Florida • Alligators, flamingos, and mosquitos live in wetlands • Southeast has long growing season • they have lots of amusement parks and historic cities.

  8. Fun Facts Continued • Major League baseball teams train in Florida • Near Virginia's northern coastal boundary lies a small island called Assateague island.
