  3. Project Steering Committee (PSC) • The PSC is the highest management board of the project. It will consist of one representative from each principal contractor. It will be chaired by the project co-ordinator. • The PSC provides the overall policy, direction and management of the project. • The PSC will be responsible for all formal decisions regarding project strategy and eventual amendments to the Project Work Description (Technical annex). • It will approve project objectives and reports from the CT and the Coordinator. • The PSC will be responsible for allocation of resources, decisions on intellectual property rights, and conflict resolution.

Co-ordinator / Project Manager • be responsible for the coordination and the day-to-day running of the project • be responsible for all communication with the European Commission • report on project progress to the PSC • inform partners about the decisions of PSC • work in close collaboration with the CT • maintain contacts with all partners • ensure that each partner deliver their work in time • provide administrative support to the partners in kind of transfer of funds and coordination of cost statement between the Commission and partners as well as help with organising workshops • ensure that the timetable is maintained and all deliverables completed according to work-plan and project intentions. • Ensure that financial contributions to partners are connected to in time delivery of contributions. • Maintain the internal project website

  5. Co-ordination Team (CT) • Day to day management will be carried out by the three largest contractors: NSD, UKDA and Nesstar. • Bjarne Øymyr, NSD • Ken Miller, UKDA • Jostein Ryssevik, Nesstar • A small team is considered essential for easy communication and planning, but this team will be expanded as necessary and will liase with the principal contractors, who include all work package leaders, at very regular intervals, via fortnightly tele-conferences.

  6. Project Co-ordination Committee (PCC) • The broader management will be carried out by the Project Co-ordination Committee (PCC). • This is composed of the work package leaders and this ensures that at least one member from each principal contractor is involved. • The Co-ordinator will chair it and it will meet three times per year to review project progress and to ensure that the project meets all objectives, milestones and deliverables. • Forthnightly tele-conferences • Meeting notes, minutes and action plans, will be taken care of by the project administrator, to be appointed by NSD. • At least twice during the project it will meet with all contractors, including the assistant contractors, to review project progress and address wider issues of project strategy, including dissemination and exploitation.
