  3. Resume • Use black, 12 point, Times New Roman Font • Be concise (no more than two pages) • Arrange your resume linearly • Education • Counseling Experience • Education Experience • Professional affiliations • Trainings • Emphasize your accomplishments but do not exaggerate.

  4. Cover Letter • KEEP IT TO A PAGE! • Paragraph 1 – explain what you want (objective), where you currently work/intern, and why you are perfect for the job. • Concept • Classroom guidance • Group/Individual • CSCP (what you did for their CSCP) • Any other ways to organize it??? • Use action language and specifically describe what you have done!

  5. Schools care about your experience!!!! (not necessarily your education/what you have learned)

  6. Job Search • OSPI (k12.wa.us) • Select “Maps & Web sites Districts” • Select “School District Websites”
