Twenty credits • The key drivers for moving from a 15 credit modular structure to 20 credits are as follows: • Greater depth of learning • Reduction of the number of modules - improved learning and quality • Reduced administrative duties for academic staff • Reduction in the number of assessments for students - greater depth and focus and improved achievement • Improved student feedback • Reduced marking load for academic staff • Structure predominantly used in other HEIs and therefore this will more readily enable partnerships and articulations www.derby.ac.uk/udb

  11. Our findings • Our programmes needed to be developed with and for industry • They needed to develop the knowledge and skills for immediate employment • The “license to practise” would need to be developed both within and outside of the curriculum www.derby.ac.uk/udb
