  2. Related/Performing Arts Info • The school day is divided into 5 blocks of time. Each block represents 1 class and each class is 70 minutes long. Classes scheduled during the time blocks are: • Language arts • Math • Social Studies • Science • Related/Performing Arts/P.E./Health (A Day/B Day Cycle)

Related/Performing Arts Info • The difference between Performing Arts and Related Arts • Performing Arts ScheduleA student that has a full year “Performing Arts” schedule has elected to enroll in Band, Chorus, or Orchestra. Performing Arts courses meet every other day (A Day/B Day). The off day would be 4 quarters of Health/ Phys. Ed.There are no auditions for performing arts. Students need to only express elective interest on their registration form. • Related Arts ScheduleMay include 4 quarters of the following on the A/B day cycle: Art – General Music - Technology Education – Technology Integration Off days would be 4 quarters of Health/Phys. Ed. Spanish – Student must be recommended by their Language Arts Teacher and have a GPA of at least 2.0.

  4. Related/Performing Arts Info • How to Register for Band, Chorus, or Orchestra. All students that elect to be scheduled in Band must write the word “Band” in the Creative Arts section of their registration form. All students that elect to be scheduled in Chorus must write the word “Chorus” in the Creative Arts section of their registration form. All students that elect to be scheduled in Orchestra must write the word “Orchestra” in the Creative Arts section of their registration form.

  5. Physical Education Uniform • BTMS shirts are $4.00 (required) • BTMS shorts are $9.00 (optional) • Shirts and shorts can be bought in the mornings from Mrs. Brown in the gym .
