Timeline • AT 4:45 am the attack on Poland started. • When the Russians invaded eastern Poland on September 17th, the defeat of Poland was sealed. • On September 24th, Warsaw was bombed by 1,150 German aircrafts. • On September 27th, Warsaw surrendered. • The last Polish troops surrender on October 6th.
Photographs • I saw 850 bombs go off and 400 Germans fighting this tragic battle with my own eyes. • And as for Poland, I heard a big boom out in the distance where 210 bombs were going off and 150 fighters were trying their best just to stay alive. • Even though both countries had weapons and soldiers to fight in the war, it was very clear that Germany would win the battle. • Within the first two days the Polish Air Force was destroyed at the first attack.
Photographs • Nurses were extremely ideal to have during war because so many peopled died or were wounded. • As for me, I tried my best to heal as many people as I could, but some of their wounds were just so unbearable I felt awful for the soldiers. • According to the German, the Polish campaign cost them 8,082 men killed. • 27,279 wounded and 5,029 missing in action. • German tank losses included 217 destroyed and the Luftwaffe lost 285 planes destroyed and 279 damaged beyond repair.
Newspapers • Newspaper were so fundamental back then because this was the only way people communicated with the world around them. I remember reading about all the chaos, it was truly devastating. • When everyone found out that Poland had been invaded almost everyone had lost it because they didn’t know exactly what to do.
Artifacts • Many of the tanks used during the attack were equipped only with machine guns– compared to later tank designs. • These tanks did mega damage by constantly attacking all parts of blitzkrieg that never allowed the Polish Army to gather its breath and re-group.
Artifacts • When Germany was in complete control of the Blitzkrieg, it gave them a huge advantage to attack the retreating Poles. • The fleeing of civilians did a great deal to delay a controlled withdrawal by the Polish military.

The British told Germany they have no rights to invade these countries But Hitler used harsh limitations as a pretext for Germany's right to gain land where Germans lived. Since Germany had a well-written out plan, it was so easy for them invade Poland.
