  7. EVERY CLASS IN HIGH SCHOOL IS A TRAINING FOR COLLEGE. AFTER SCHOOL LAB WORK, REHEARSALS, AND PRACTICE IS A NORMAL ROUTINE. MUSIC CAN HELP YOU WITH THAT REGIMENT. • We have 25 students in guitar • We have 30 students in Jazz I • We have 25 students in Choir • We have 24 students in Jazz II • We have 37 students in Concert Band • We have 70 students in Wind Ensemble • We have a combined Marching Band of 110 students • Out of 186 music students = 90% are in AP classes

  8. What your FALL schedule will look like… • July – Summer Camp 10 days - Let’s get the bulk of the work done while you have no homework. Plus it is SUPER FUN! We play games and you make new friends. • August – November 7th Period Band You do lots of homework during Herd Time – Tu/Thur 40 minutes After School Practice August – November are Mondays & Wednesdays: 3:30pm – 5pm Tuesdays & Thursdays: 3:30pm – 4:30pm Snack Break | Homework time & get help with upperclassmen students | 4:30pm – 7:30pm Rehearse We will perform at football home games, fall competitions, Veteran’s Day Parade, & winter concert.

  9. What is your schedule like after Thanksgiving Break… • 7th Period Concert Band NO After school rehearsals We perform at local events, NCBA Golden Empire, and Vallejo Competition. We start spring training in April - 2 days a week 4:30pm-5:30pm

  10. After School Programs during the winter NOT MANDATORYNOT GRADED • Winter Percussion & Winter Guard 2 days a week rehearsals plus 5 competitions

  11. Jazz Band • You have to be enrolled in Concert Band / Marching Band 7th period Jazz II & Jazz III are after school practices on a rotation rehearsal Fall August – November Mondays + Wednesdays + Fridays = 4:30pm-5:30pm Wednesdays – 7:45am – 8:30am (3 Wednesdays a month) Winter & Spring M|T|W|TH|FR 3:30pm-4:30pm – Jazz II 4:30pm-5:30pm Jazz III
