As we have discussed in the past, i.4.see is underway to provide many benefits… -- Why are we implementing i4see? -- i.4.see will improve the quality and scope of data collections, provide easy access to meaningful data for schools and reduce the burden on schools for submitting data. • Enable Sound Policy Decisions • Reduce Data Collection Burden • Improve Data Accuracy & Reliability • Reduce Drop-Out Rate

  4. The support from schools has made this a reality… -- How are we implementing i4see? -- Three Primary Components to Phase I 1 2 3 Assign SASIDs Collect & Integrate Student Level Data Provide District & School Access

Our initial results have been very positive… -- Successes to Date : 100% Submission Rate -- • 237,259 SASIDs Assigned • 80,383 Fall 05 NECAP Labels Requested • 150,118 EOY Student Records (04-05) • 207,630 BOY Student Records (05-06) • 17,281 Spring 06 NHEIAP Labels Requested • Connection to SPEDIS, EOY, Migrant, etc… • The most amazing school and district user group!!

We are moving forward with an annual schedule. . i.4.see Implementation Timeline Sep ‘05 Dec Mar ‘06 June • August 10th NECAP Labels • on-going Request new SASIDs • October 15th Beginning of Year (BOY) Free and Reduced (F&R) • March 6th NHEIAP Labels F&R 10th Grade • July 15th End of Year Enrollment (EOY:Enrol) End of Year Academic (EOY: Acad)

  7. Now that we have the initial collection and schedule in place, we are moving onto the next tasks.. • Real – Time Withdrawal and Entry • Data in Teachers’ Hands • Continued Integration within the DOE • Enhanced Policy Definition • Additional Data Verifications -- Next Steps --

  9. As most of you are familiar with, there are a series of steps to complete a data submission… Student Level Data Submission -- Process Steps --

  10. We are making some updates to the 1st step… • -- ’06 Enhancements – • All Fields Required • One New Field and a few Changes • You will no longer need comma’s if you are missing the last field(s) • We will be adding school level data

  11. We are making some updates to the 2nd step… • -- ’06 Enhancements – • Expanded rules • Warnings (as opposed to ‘errors’) that must be verified • Ability to add records on-line

  12. We are making some updates to the 3rd step… • -- ’06 Enhancements – • Expanded rules • Warnings that must be verified • Trend comparisons • Errors for missing rows

We are making some updates to the 4th step… • -- ’06 Enhancements – • NEW MANDITORY REPORTS. detail reports should be verified by those most familiar with the program (e.g. for example, a report of all Title I Math students should be reviewed by the Title I coordinator). trend reports • A3 Report • Requirement to Confirm Reports • History of Edits

  15. We are making some updates to the 6th step… • -- ’06 Enhancements – • New State Level Verification • Report(s) will identify required changes. (example: A student is claimed by two districts for a total number of ½ days > 366).

  16. We are making some updates to the 7th step… • -- ’06 Enhancements – • Upon completion of any state level corrections, the district verification must be re-run.

  18. Keeping students in school – for High Schools only Following the BOY submission, high schools will be asked to track the entry and exits of their students. Real Time Entry and Exit

  19. Getting the Data Into Teachers’ Hands We are in the process of putting together an RFP. Teacher and Admin Access Assessment & Profile Data Curriculum & Lesson Plans Assessment Creation

  20. Continuous Improvement • We will continue to improve the workbench. • Workbench enhancements • Improved verification rules and reports • Procedure and Policy Manual System Enhancements
