  6. Families and children • Age of the mothers at first birth - 29 year • 33% of marriages ends in divorce • 15% of children lives in poor households • 4% of children engaged in reports on child abuse • 9% of the children live in single parent families and 3% live in stepfamilies

Migrant children • Migrants from Morocco, Surinam, Turkey and Netherlands Antilles • More youngsters than the native Dutch: 38% is younger than 25 year • Higher birth rate and family reunion • By the year 2015 2/3 of population increase caused by growth of the number of people from ethnic backgrounds
